I’ve been working with Evan Gagnon at Pure Drive Golf for the past year, and it’s been one of the most productive learning experiences I’ve had in golf. Evan has a rare ability to break down a complex golf swing into a few clear, athletic feels that actually stick. Instead of overwhelming me with mechanics, he focuses on building a repeatable motion—emphasizing balance, rotation, and efficient movement—while tailoring every lesson to how I naturally move. What stands out most is how intentional his coaching is over time. Each lesson builds on the last, with consistent themes that gradually improve fundamentals like contact, rotation, and sequencing. He also provides practical drills and clear feedback so I can continue working effectively between lessons. I leave every session with a plan and a better understanding of my swing. I had an excellent session with Evan last week. He broke down my swing in a clear, easy-to-understand way and explained my numbers so I knew exactly what to work on and why it mattered. I’ve taken lessons elsewhere before, but Evan is the first instructor who truly made the physics behind the swing click for me.
