Midtown is the perfect place to go if you are serious about improving your golf game. I was nervous to go in at first, being new to golf myself, but Marshall and his team are excellent and make you feel right at home! Not to mention they have an entire putting green upstairs! I couldn’t recommend Midtown enough.

Premier golf place in college station to get some serious reps in as well as a place to sit back and just enjoy hitting some balls. Never had a bad time at Midtown, all the tech you could ever need and hospitality like no other. Competitive pricing makes this place a go to.

Working with Marshall at Midtown Golf Club was hands-down the best fitting experience I’ve ever had. This is truly a boutique-level operation. I originally wanted to do a Forward Fitting, but Forward was in the middle of transitioning to a new kit at the time, so that option wasn’t available. Since I was driving in from Austin, I wanted to make sure the trip was absolutely worth it. Even without the Forward kit, I had a strong feeling that Marshall was already blending Forward principles into his traditional fittings, and that turned out to be exactly right. I was looking for a progressive, modern fitting experience—not something dated—and that’s exactly what I got. With irons averaging $200 per head these days, you want to be confident in what you’ll be gaming for the next 5–6 years. Marshall assured me that their traditional fitting is still a true boutique experience, and the Google reviews absolutely live up to the hype. If you’re considering driving in from outside the area—just do it. This is the level of oversight, patience, and guidance you want in a proper fitting. There was zero pressure the entire time. We tested numerous builds, and at no point did he force a “top 2” or “top 3” recommendation on me. We simply let the data and the metrics speak for themselves and stayed grounded in what was actually happening. I intentionally tried not to pay attention to the heads and shafts being swapped in and out… and one particular setup kept making its way back into the rotation without my knowledge, which was honestly awesome. We were able to confirm that same build multiple times, which gave me complete confidence in my decision. Zero regrets making the trip to Midtown. I can’t wait for Marshall to expand into Central Texas — wink wink 😉 Marshall, you officially have a customer for life.
