Aug.01, 2025. Course is in horrible shape. Green side grass areas are completely dead. No chance of recovery after spending thousands on re-soding holes 12 and 18 only one and a half seasons ago. Envirofill on the greens has not been applied in well over a year as well, which makes any shot landing on the green bouncing 10-20 yards off into the bushes. Never seen it this unkept. Sad state of affairs. Something needs to change.
Golf Daddy here, swinging the sticks up at the Yellowknife Golf Club, and let me tell ya, it’s pretty cool golfing this far north—no pun intended! The ravens were out in full force, adding a touch of wild northern charm to the game. The greens are artificial, which I gotta say, I’m a fan of—consistent and well-kept. Had a great day on the course, and while it’s no Augusta, it’s a unique experience that’s definitely worth the drive. And just like that nice old Asian guy who passed out atop Coit Tower last year, this place might leave you a little breathless—but in a good way! Four stars for the Yellowknife Golf Club—where the game is as cool as the location!
It’s the only course we got and you always get a decent lie. Some nice views from the back nine.
