Overall, it's a great spot to grab a bite after a hike or bike ride. I ordered a Caesar salad, which tasted good, but was surprised to be charged $8 for a small piece of chicken—making the total around $20. That felt a bit steep. Also, it's unclear whether you're supposed to grab your own utensils and napkins or if the staff provides them. The outdoor seating area is really nice and adds to the experience.
Excellent! We were wowed by the delicious quality food and dining experience here. From the big portions of smoked ribs and perfect potato salad, to the house made sausages and smoky pimento cheese, and then the wow factor crusted goat cheese salad with candied jalapeños, berries, and house made fig jam. The staff were nice and the place was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back soon to try other menu items!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our visit to Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama was an unforgettable day from start to finish. We started the morning by renting e-bikes from a local company called Paradise Pedal LLC, and it could not have gone more smoothly. The owner was one of the kindest and most accommodating people we met on our trip. He helped us get set up with two great little carriages for our three-year-old and seven-year-old, gave us a wonderful deal, and even delivered the bikes right to us so we could start our ride at the park. That kind of personal touch really made the experience special. The e-bikes were in perfect condition and a total blast to ride. The park itself has miles of smooth trails that wind through some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. We passed lakes, boardwalks, shaded paths, and open views that made every turn feel like a new photo opportunity. The kids had the best time riding in the carriages, and we all loved how easy the e-bikes made it to explore without wearing ourselves out. It was peaceful, fun, and such a unique way to take in everything the park has to offer. After our ride, we stopped at Woodside Restaurant, which is located right inside the park, and it was the perfect ending to our adventure. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it has that relaxed Southern charm that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile. We ordered cheeseburgers for the kids, and I have to say they were some of the best cheeseburgers we have ever had anywhere along the Gulf Coast. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The kids devoured them. The housemade potato chips were another highlight — crispy, golden, and addictive. We honestly could have eaten a whole extra bowl just of those chips alone. Everything about the experience at Woodside was top notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the quality was far beyond what you would expect for a park restaurant. It felt like a hidden gem tucked inside this gorgeous natural setting. Between the scenic ride through Gulf State Park, the outstanding service from Paradise Pedal LLC, and the delicious meal at Woodside Restaurant, our day could not have been more perfect. If you are visiting Gulf Shores, I highly recommend doing exactly what we did — rent your e-bikes from Paradise Pedal LLC, explore the trails at Gulf State Park, and finish the day with cheeseburgers and chips at Woodside. You will not regret it.
