Nice being on the pond. Didn't see a alligator 🤣🤣 The two bedroom villa was comfy with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and washer and dryer. 15 minutes to New Bern, and 30 minutes to the beaches.

Nice spot with nice amenities to enjoy, HOWEVER, my family and I (parents, my 2 kids 11 & 9, and husband) stood at Windjammer Villas II in 8121 and since day 1 (Aug 17, 2025) until the end of our stay (Aug 24, 2025) we have been killing waterbugs and all kinds of roaches of different sizes. We called on the first day to tell them to spray something for them because it was numerous amounts coming from every room. They said we would see them around, but I'm sorry with an elevated 2bdrm villa coming EVERY NIGHT is insane... When the staff came they told us all they had was a can of spray to use which looked like a Raid can, but during that time we were about to have breakfast so we told them to please come back around 12pm. The staff came back around 1pm with a roundup bug container like the ones in the supermarket to spray around the house. We thought it would help, but no. Every night we were killing roaches from baby to adult giant waterbugs. Especially in the room I was sleeping at where one was crawling up the bed post right before going to sleep! I did not have great sleep and I was so anxious every night! I had to keep the light on in order to attempt to fall asleep and didn't go to sleep until I dozed off. When I did "sleep" I kept waking up scared almost every hr thinking a waterbug was on the walls/ceiling or floor of my room. By day 3 we couldn't wait to go home and get actual sleep. On the 2nd day my mom felt something with her foot on the rug by the dinning table and when she tried to take it out with her hand she cut herself and we realized it was a fishing hook stuck on the rug. I thank God it did not happen to any of the kids because that could've gone worse. We did Not enjoy our vacation as much as we would've liked. We definitely won't be visiting here again.
