Wanaki Golf Course

My husband a friend played golf there. My friend I met them afterwards for lunch. We had the same nice bartender/waitress that we had before. The food was very good. The meat on my Cubano was a little overdone. The Cajun dip that came with the chips was excellent. Our waitress is so nice and efficient. It’s a nice atmosphere with lots of windows looking out on the course.

Great place for a meal, even in the off season. Chili is great. So is the side salad.

Good public course with a couple of stupid holes, but overall very reasonably priced. Ownership change was the best thing to happen here — they added a restaurant called “The Turn.” Food is decent; the salads are actually really good, which you don’t expect at a golf course. Great view if you sit outside overlooking the 18th green. Nice spot to relax after a round. They also built a new building with eight indoor simulators. Haven’t played them yet but the setup looked sharp — its own bar and extra seating area. Pace of play on weekends can be brutal. You have to show up with patience and keep expectations in check depending on the time of day and weather. Good management and well run overall.
