Viking Golf

Well themed , good value adventure golf course . The theming is based on vikings , which makes a change . Well presented , with wide pathways throughout . The challenge level was good , with good variety and contouring . The playing surface is fresh , however it is slower than most courses , and slower still on the verges and semi rough areas . This helps to keep the ball in play along with the contouring . However you do need to hit the ball harder. ( I tend to finesse shots , needed to adapt my game , but all good fun ) . People who tend to whack it , might do OK on this course . However you may need to move the ball away from the edge occasionally, but that is par for the course , with these places . There is a white dot to place your ball on , at the start of each hole . I would advice moving the ball slightly forward , as it is in a depression , with an upslope behind it . Given the slowness of the greens you do need to make a good contact , so moving the ball slightly is a good idea . The location is next to the fair ground , but can be accessed separately . I parked in the adjacent supermarket for free ( upto 2 hours ) , and managed to snag a few deals in the shop while I was there . I have played quite a few adventure golf courses now , and I would put it in my top three . The combination of viking theming , slow greens and good variety of challenges makes for a fun course .

Lovely staff, nice idea you can have a drink as there's nothing else around it open. Top end price wise, but it's a great course with lots of challenges. Only grumble point is the rubber curved bottom clubs which actually make it harder to hit the ball! We had a blast tho, very clean, good course and different challenges

We had a brlliant time at this lovely course, a good variety of holes kept it interesting and challenging and we all had fun, especially my husband who got the days' low score (by 1, I'm sure he lost his crown) 😅 very friendly staff and good value, we'll definitely come back 🏌‍♀️
