Chop house in the winter, bar and grill in the spring, summer, and fall. Both menus are great. High class streaks to mozzarella sticks. Cocktails and wine selection is above and beyond.

May 5, 2025 Update Visited for lunch and continue to be pleased. Beautiful day in Minot to visit. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, and excellent food. Keep it up! Ordered Chicken Tenders, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Fried Mushrooms, Walleye, and Shoestring Fries. See latest photos. November 16, 2023 Update: Every visit to Minot, ND has to culminate in a visit to and fine meal at Vardon. Service and food were of course fantastic. However, what stood out this time was the above-and-beyond service provided by Camille and Ray (GM). Ray and I connected originally over wine tastes and recommendations - ever since, he always makes it a point to visit our table and share his vast knowledge of wines and meal pairings! Truly appreciate his personal touch! In being deeply engrossed in a passionate discussion with colleagues, I left my jacket behind draped over my chair. Was oblivious to its absence until Camille and Ray traced it back to me, called to remind, and upon sensing my hesitation about options (due to the lateness of the night and a very early flight next morning) - had offered to personally pay if they could Uber or Lyft it over to my hotel - they conferred briefly, and unhesitatingly offered to have Camille drive over to my hotel and deliver the jacket personally. She followed through in quick order and I was reunited with my jacket the same night! Wow! What care and service! Truly rare in this often uncaring world we live in! They are awesome people - I rewarded Camille for her thoughtfulness and effort - just the right thing to do! Kudos to her, as well as to management for hiring such caring people! As the photos show and as I have amply described below, food (Fried Calamari, Clam Chowder, Pork Chop, Delmonico Steak and Bison/Beef/Elk/Venison Burger with Shoestring Fries), as usual, was awesome! Looking forward to my next visit! Happy Thanksgiving to Camille, Ray, and the entire Vardon team! August 24, 2023 Update. Despite being extremely busy due to a golf tournament and associated diners, this place continues to impress. Staff appeared not to skip a beat as they frenetically attended to diners. Service by Molly was too-notch! As stressful as it must have been, she appeared calm, ever-smiling, friendly, and attentive. Kudos to her! The GM, Ray Cook, too graciously stopped over to greet. A classy touch! Food arrived quickly and was superb as always! Compliments to the the chef(s)! Pulled Pork Bao Buns and Buffalo Chicken Dip with Nacho Chips for appetizers; mains consisting of Delmonico Steak, and Chimichurri Steak Bites on Arugula Salad topped with Parmesan Shavings! Vardon remains a favorite! Earlier Review: Reviewing just the restaurant at the club house. Serene, verdant setting within the golf course, plenty of parking and seating. Entrance is through the club shop selling golf accoutrements. Staff and manager are very friendly and eager to please. Manager remembered our previous visit and even the wines we had ordered! A nice touch! Food is top-notch and at reasonable prices too. Ordered Pork Shanks and Onion Petals for appetizers, accompanied by a glass of Leviathan California red blend - a relatively bold and dry wine with complex notes of oak, tobacco, and blackberry/plum. The Pork Shanks came with BBQ sauce and were tender/flavored; the lightly battered Onion Petals were a novelty, and tasty despite being under-salted. Dinner for three consisted of house salads, Delmonico Steaks with Veggies and Sweet Potato Fries, and Vardon Fish and Chips (substantituted by crispy string fries). Food was wonderful; steaks were perfect at medium-rare, fish (white fish, assuming, Walleye) was lightly battered, crisp, and perfectly salted. Sides of Creamed Spinach, Veggies, and Sweet Potato Fries too were tasty. Overall, a great place to dine (and of course, golf) while in Minot.
