First time golfing at this golf course. Lots of parking within the golf course and close to the main building and golf carts. Price to golf with cart was about 80$ for 18 holes. They have a putting and chipping area on the one side and a driving range on the other side. 7.50$ for half a bucket and 15 for a full bucket. I believe the range of the range goes to 250. The course itself wasn’t the best. If I was to go again I think I would walk the course. Using the cart was nice for the breeze and good if they had a paved path but driving it on the course was a wild adventure. I worked up in northern Manitoba where the roads seem like you were driving into a minefield and this felt similar when driving on most holes on the course. Me and my buddy bought drinks on the course and they were spilling all over the place. They seemed to be working on some of the holes which is fine but the workers didn’t care about the golfers on the course. Some of the hits we were required to move our ball or tell the staff to move because they were oblivious to people playing. The beverage cart was pretty consistent and was much appreciated as it was super hot the day I went. Prices are high but you’re paying for convenience so it makes sense. The greens and Sand traps and fairways were mostly in good shape. Most stations had ball cleaners and indicators of how many yards and the par score of the hole. There’s a pond on the course I believe around hole 9 or 10 so heads up for those Canada Geese. The main building has a shop and a small restaurant. The shop has all golf things you’d expect. Nothing mind blowing. The restaurant was pretty basic and when we went there was no staff there to serve anyone. Undecided if I’d return to this course.
Extremely disappointing experience at Tuxedo Golf Course. My husband, our 5-year-old son, 8-year-old nephew, and brother-in-law went out early on a Saturday and were charged full adult rates for the kids which was almost $300 total. To make matters worse, they were told the kids couldn’t even use the mini golf because “it’s not free”. For a city-owned public course, this is unacceptable. Families should feel welcome, not taken advantage of. We’ll be spending our money at one of the many much better-run, friendly courses just outside the city from now on.
The course it’s self is in ok condition but the employees here are unbearable and the price is ridiculous, 130 dollars for 2 people with a cart is insane to me considering it’s not a high end course. For starters the employees in the pro shop are miserable and show zero enthusiasm, the Marshalls are rude and inconsiderate to beginners apart from once I had a great Marshall. Whenever I play here I feel unwelcome and judged (not like other places) and I have been playing for a few years now. The worst part is the starter, he was so obnoxious and made me want to just leave. Awful experience the last few times I’ve gone safe to say I won’t be going back.
