Fantastic escape in the mountains! Beautifully wooded with rolling hills, stunning views of Third Hill Mountain, and course designs that test every club in the bag without being overly punishing. Forgiving fairways, strategic bunkers, elevation changes, and those dramatic mountain backdrops make every hole feel special. The greens rolled true and fast, the course was in great shape, and we finished in a relaxed pace, with plenty of wildlife sightings too. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, the pro shop is solid, and the practice facilities (driving range, putting green) are top-notch. The whole resort vibe with the views, nature, and peaceful setting makes it feel like a true escape. If you're in the Eastern Panhandle or Shenandoah area and want scenic, well-maintained golf that suits all skill levels, head to The Woods. Highly recommend! ⛳🌲

Our family absolutely loves The Woods Golf Course! The course itself is beautifully maintained. The greens are smooth, the layout is fun but challenging, and you can really tell how much care goes into keeping everything in top shape. Every time we play, the experience is consistently excellent. Beyond the course, the club amenities are what make The Woods truly special. The outdoor pools are a summertime favorite for our family, they are clean, relaxing, and perfect for the kids. And when the weather turns cold, the indoor pool is such a gift. It’s great having a year-round option that’s just as nice as the outdoor spaces. The staff is friendly, the facilities are well-kept, and the whole atmosphere feels peaceful and welcoming. Whether you’re coming to golf, swim, or just enjoy the property, The Woods never disappoints. Highly recommend!

My dad and I made the drive to play The Woods for a second time because we had enjoyed the first experience a few years ago. This visit we played both courses on a Monday. Awesome pace of play always helps (discounted rates for aerated greens - a bit rough, whatever). Amazing time. Fun holes on both courses. Great views, nature, wildlife, etc.. A great escape. I saw some negative reviews and I felt obligated.., The starters and staff were as memorably as friendly and professional as our first trip. We're glad we decided for round two (and round three the same day). Looking forward to our next visit!
