The Win Tavern 33

I was in the area for a couple of nights and ended up coming here both nights. I’m on vacation from Scotland and was pleased to see they sell draught Strongbow cider, tasted just as good as back home. Food was good and service was prompt and friendly. More than happy to leave a tip. Make sure you ask for seasoned fries as an upgrade to chips. I made that mistake first night. Much more tasty and enjoyable.

This place was recommended to me saying they made everything fresh and had the best burgers. I took my husband here for his birthday and ended up being VERY disappointed. We walked in the door and the first thing I noticed was how the hostess station was to the side of the door where you enter the dining room and the bar just behind that. There were many wait staff just standing by the backside of the bar and hostess station doing nothing at all. We were seated and I ordered pickle sticks and when they came you could not bite them in half as the skin was so tough on the pickle, waitress never came back to the table and even asked if they were good. The burgers get dropped off and at first glance they looked fine. I took my first bite and it was one bite of hard grizzly something in the meat, I couldn't eat anymore. Once more the waitress never came back to ask if the food was OK or to refill our drinks. Finally the young man who was bartendering came and refilled our drinks, still no waitress. I sat there for almost 25 min with a full plate and finally the bartender came back and asked if I needed a box. At that point I expressed how disappointed I was with the pickles, the burger and how the waitress never came back to the table. Even after all that it took almost 20 more min just for them to bring a bill. The entire time through our meal I watched several staff standing around doing nothing, talking, conjugating around the hostess stand doing absolutely nothing. Our original waitress walked by our table several times but not once stopped to check on us. Will never again go here.

First time coming here and I can say I will definitely be coming back. The food and service was excellent. We ordered the Pie Holes, Original Grander and J Popper Hamburger with seasoned fries. I have to say those are the best seasoned fries I have ever had. Our server was great! She was polite and attentive as well was the other staff we encountered at our time here. Job well done Win Tavern 33!! Keep up the great work and a shout out to the cooks! Excellent experience all around.
