my five star reviews reflects a complicated dinner service on Christmas day. It seemed as though there were way too many patrons for the amount of staff both upfront and in the back of the house. However… Our waitress, Melinda was lovely and kind and communicative and worked so incredibly hard to make us happy. The same can be said of the lovely bar service we had. moreover, and most importantly, when our food did arrive, it was delicious

A Truly Wonderful Experience at The W Kosher Restaurant We had reservations while visiting my parents and were seated right away. Melinda greeted us warmly and explained upfront that, because it was Christmas and very busy, food might take longer — and we really appreciated her honesty. The wait was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Melinda went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She mentioned she is also a first-grade teacher, and you can truly feel her passion for helping and caring for others in the way she serves. Kudos to Melinda and the entire staff — we will definitely be back! The W is now a must-stop for us.

This was, without question, the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We came as a family group — my in-laws, my wife, and our two-year-old daughter — expecting a nice dinner. We were seated and placed our order within about ten minutes. After that, everything fell apart. Nearly 50 minutes passed with no appetizers. When we asked, the hostess told us the waitress had “forgotten to fire the order” and that it was being handled. That explanation felt dishonest, especially given what followed. Over an hour after ordering, our salads finally arrived — but the hot appetizers never did. After close to two hours of waiting, the waitress told us the kitchen wouldn’t even let her in to get an update. At that point, we got up and left — without having eaten dinner. Multiple tables around us were experiencing the same thing, with other families also simply giving up and walking out. A manager was present in the restaurant the entire time, yet never once came over to check in, apologize, or attempt to make things right. We even had to specifically ask for bread (which they usually charge for) just so our two-year-old had something to eat — and that bread came out with the salads after over an hour after ordering. Being “backed up” happens. But the lack of honesty, communication, accountability, and management involvement made this experience completely unacceptable. We will never return.
