The Ridge (Deer Ridge) Par 3

I really enjoyed both the driving range and the back 9 of this lovely course. Lots of parking, convenient access to driving range and putting green and a fun course that is challenging for any golfer. Great rates.

This course could be a spectacular par 3 course. Suitable for both beginners and low cap players looking to work on there iron and wedge game. It really has the lay out for it. However the greens absolutely destroy this. The greens are cut to the length of some fairways at other course. For being early July you would expect them to have some sort speed to them. Instead they are slower than lynns opening day. A good cut and roll would greatly change the dynamic of this course and bring me back. But at this point the greens absolutely destroy the round and make it completely unenjoyable. Beating a ball to try and make a 20 foot putt isn’t very fun or helpful to improve your game. Any breaks the greens do have is almost completely eliminated by the furry. Other minor things could be better. Such as price point and better cups. Flags were not being held in by the current ones very well. And better signage for directions to the next hole Pros: tee blocks are in fairly good shape for being a par 3. Lay out is varied and creates some challenges.

i only did the front 9, it’s clearly a course for beginners or if you don’t have much time. it was simple and relaxing. wasn’t very busy. not bad prices could’ve been a bit cheaper. some of the holes overlapped other ones and the directions weren’t the most clear. The driving range isn’t any good, the mats need to be replaced, can’t use irons or wedges on them.
