The Players Club at Woodland Trails

The Players Club is a very well maintained golf course. I was very intimidated by it last year. It is a great golf course. All the staff and ground keeper's are very cordial and will help you in every way possible.

I don’t write many but please excuse my long review: * I’ve lived in Yorktown since 2023 and just started playing @ TPC. My first round was on 8/01/2025 and second on 8/08/2025. When my wife and I moved to Yorktown we visited several courses for membership pricing. Based on my first impression with the pro shop staff and the lack of attention, felt like he didn’t want to be there, no customer service personality, and having to pull every answer out of him made me not want to spend my hard earned money to play until this month (8/2025). * 4-Star Personnel Rating: Morning of 8/01 I came in to see the same pro shop staff as my first visit. This time he was a little more attentive, took payment and wished me a good round. (Seems to be improving which is a positive note). Morning of 8/08 the same staff was checking me in and said good morning, took payment, said to enjoy and play well and his demeanor was more professional, intuitive, and respectful. (He’s getting there and I’m happy to see and feel a customer first improvement)! I hope these reviews and ownership has had an impact at making these improvements. *4-Star Course Rating: I absolutely love this course, layout and how well maintained the conditions are. The sand traps could use some sand upgrade along with some cart paths but how beautiful the views are on the course vs the green fee amount is a no brainer for a great day on the links and a challenge for your game! I have made this my home course on USGA Handicap System and plan to continue playing as mush as time permits. ***THIS PORTION IS FOR ALL THE “GOLFERS” THAT PLAY TPC*** - PLEASE be respectful to the course, superintendent, grounds keepers and each other. I was so disappointed to see how many divots, and green ball marks not repaired. Both of my rounds I must have fixed 50-60 ball marks myself and the rest of my group repaired multiple as well. Each round so many fresh marks/divots not repaired that I just shaked my head. This is totally ridiculous and a slap in the face to the ownership, crew, course and every other player behind you! C’mon… we ALL play because we LOVE this game. We should ALL follow the golf code of conduct and help maintain our courses not just for ourselves but the generations behind us. WE CAN DO BETTER! TPC @ Woodland Trails is an AWESOME course and every level of golfer would enjoy playing here! Beautifully maintained course. Updated carts make for comfortable experience. Beautiful pro shop with services offered as well as a wide selection of gear. Reasonable variety of offerings for food and snacks. Cost reflects the level of course maintenance, expensive to some but if you want a great round with beautiful views this is a course to visit. Recommend calling ahead and making a tee time as course is often busy. Customer service can be a little hit or miss. If you’re not a member or someone who comes regularly don’t expect much from the person taking your money. 5 stars if they start smiling and being open to talking to the customer.
