The Palm Desert Golf Academy at Desert Willow Golf Resort

I had an exceptional experience at the Palm Desert Golf Academy at Desert Willow Golf Resort, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The program is extremely well run, the facilities are first-class, and the instruction is simply outstanding. My instructor, Paul Bucy, was excellent in every respect. He brings a calm, confident, and highly professional presence to his coaching, and his “aura” immediately puts you at ease. Paul’s approach is thoughtful, organized, and incredibly effective. The academy content was thorough and clearly structured, yet never overwhelming. One of the biggest differentiators was the 1 coach to 3 golfers ratio, which allowed for a truly tailored, personalized instructional experience. Paul took the time to understand each golfer’s swing, tendencies, and goals, and adjusted his teaching accordingly. It never felt generic — the instruction was customized and purposeful. The facilities at Desert Willow are excellent and perfectly suited for learning and improvement. Everything from the practice areas to the overall environment reflects quality and professionalism, which elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for high-level golf instruction in a supportive, focused, and professional setting, the Palm Desert Golf Academy — and especially Paul Bucy — sets the bar extremely high. This was time very well spent, and I would absolutely return.

My husband Sam and I have been taking lessons with Josh Garber and I can’t tell you how much he’s helped us! We’ve both had lessons before with little to no improvement. Josh has an innate ability to see the smallest things that need correcting and even better he will try to explain things in different ways until it clicks. I am not athletic and a slow learner but he has never been impatient. I’ve gone from being anxious whenever I play to being confident and having fun! I am so grateful for his coaching!

I had an outstanding experience at Desert Willow golf school. Paul got me on plane and striking the ball at a level that I can’t even believe to be honest. I learned a ton in three days and I’m way more confident on the course. Most importantly I had a great time and I would definitely do it again.
