The Mill Restaurant & Golf Course

The bar has been raised very high by The Mill Restaurant & Pub (Cobourg). An absolutely exceptional burger. Their Enright Burger, a house-made patty using locally raised grass-fed Enright Farm beef, with lettuce, tomato and pickle on a brioche bun, we added crispy bacon & blue cheese. Pick your side, from the soup feature, famous fries or salad - you really can’t go wrong! We shared an appetizer of breaded dill pickle spears with a very good buttermilk ranch dip. We have very much enjoyed their fries based offerings the last 2 years at Cultivate Festival. We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here in 2010, visiting again in October that year. Fish & chips + the dill pickles both times. We have obviously been remiss in not visiting more often. We have resolved to remedy this in future.

On a recent mystery tour that led us to Cobourg, my wife and I were looking for a great independent restaurant for an early dinner. We stumbled upon The Mill, which looked interesting since it was part of a golf course. We checked out the menu online and were impressed by the reasonable prices. We were thrilled to find an open table for two on their lovely patio. Our server, Carly, was fantastic. She gave us some great recommendations, pointing out popular dishes and what other diners were enjoying. Based on her suggestions, we both ordered sandwiches. I had the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with delicious corned beef, sauerkraut, and dill pickle. It was a really authentic flavor, and my only wish was for a little more meat. My wife ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich and absolutely loved the grilled chicken breast and the excellent sweet potato fries that came with it. I paired my meal with a dark lager from Northumberland Hills brewery, and my wife enjoyed a great glass of Australian red wine. The atmosphere was incredible, surrounded by lush greenery and the beautiful, lovingly restored architecture of the 1830s-era mill. We had such a wonderful experience that we're already planning to go back the next time we're in Cobourg. I would highly recommend The Mill to anyone passing through town.

Was lucky enough to have my wedding here and the staff were truly amazing! The food was so yummy, everyone loved their meals! The building itself is gorgeous. But I cannot say enough about the serving/bar staff, the service and coordinator Sylvia! All so amazing to work with, kind, organized and beyond helpful from the beginning of our day until the end! Went above and beyond! Thank you so much again!
