The Las Vegas Country Club appeared to be in great shape. The staff obviously prepared the course very well for the LIV tournament. It was an excellent experience. The volunteers and the staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. I look forward to coming out and actually golfing this course. Thanks for the great experience.

I booked a room at the Westgate hotel because it was close to the convention I was going to, and so I could play golf. $75 for driving range, golf cart, and 18 holes. Very good value. I told a family friend that lives in Vegas that I was golfing here, and he was a poker dealer at Caesars for a long time, and he said he had never played this course. I guess it used to be extremely exclusive. I learned to golf beginning in June of this year. I've put at least 45 hours of training in, an average of 2 hours a week to this point. This is the first full course I've played. It was so nice and challenged me to push and hone my skills, but not in a frustrating way. I did give up on some water hazards though because I can't hit the ball 100 yards without teeing up. It was so fun to try though! The highlight of my experience was hitting the ball with my driver, and it skipped on the water 3 yards short of land, and landed 38 yards from the hole. Wish I could say it was deliberate, but it wasn't. So cool though. The Golf Marshall was friendly and helpful. They have coolers on the golf cart with water in them. Complementary tees and history placards to read. Also I was a little late to my scheduled tee time, but they were kind about it and let me use the driving range while other people go ahead of me, which is good because I was slow and needed to figure out a variety of things. I let people go ahead of me, and it took me 6 hours to complete the course, but again, it was the first time I've ever fully played a course. Also had to take breaks to put on more sunscreen and use the restroom and such. The locker room was amazing -- I wish I had enough time to take advantage of it. There was a hot tub, steam room, soaps and towels. Such a gorgeous experience, even if you're by yourself. I highly recommend it.
