Update 10/2/2025: Great experience here with Hugo and the rest of your amazing staff. Confession time: i have fallen HARD for your Durian Colada (6/5) and am chuffed! Pleased... delighted that its gonna be returning with the Alumni perscriptions on the menu. I have a mental rolladex of good Pina Coladas in town and this was a standout. Also... i am very impressed with Northern Keep as a well Vodka... such a clean, flavourful profile in a Vodka soda and one of the best vodka sodas in town 🌈🌈🌈✨️ _____ Update 7/25/2025: nice experience here today!! I tried the Cold Turkey and had a Snowbird (both terrific!!!) From Virginia... great vibe here today. 🍸 --- Great drinks & service here from Asya!! Especially like the Fantasy Island and Cool As 😎 👌 Hey, one more thing--- you guys were so amazing and sweet to my mom in January when she visited (she was overdue for a hip surgery--- you guys were understanding and sweet and accommodating 💕 Thank you 💕 )
Came for happy hour with coworkers. Was empty when we arrived but packed when we left. Staff either not smart or not considerate to put our larger party together but rather split our party to different tables initially even though bar was empty. One of our party used to be a server and realized we could move a few adjacent small tables together. The staff were accommodating enough to allow this and moved the tables for us and we were set. Service was really good for the rest of the night. The drinks were nice but expensive if we're not here for happy hour. The happy hour menu made the drinks more worth It. This place had dim sum but small portions and high prices make them not worth it outside of happy hour. Happy hour makes dim sum half price, but we came after a late lunch so we didn't order this time. Parking is metered mainly street and the nearby parking lot where the Floata restaurant used to be. Free parking is only available a few blocks away in Strathcona neighborhood (east of Gore St).
Atmosphere: 7.5/10 Set in Vancouver’s Chinatown, the area surrounding the bar has visible street challenges and some homelessness, which affects the overall vibe. Inside, the concept is clever—drawing from traditional Chinese medicine with signage and visual elements that playfully frame alcohol as a form of healing. There’s a patio, a cool integrated backbar, and a decent mix of table and bar seating. Music volume was just right for conversation. Drinks: 8/10 Recommendation: Cool As Drinks were consistently well balanced. Menu is digital-only, but well-designed with pictures and flavor details. Would’ve loved a physical menu for a more premium feel. Glassware was good, but garnish and presentation were on the basic side. No coasters. Service: 8.5/10 Water offered on arrival. The team was friendly and attentive. Prices were average for Vancouver. Overall experience felt well-managed and smooth
