I have been wanting a Turkey burger for a few weeks so I finally decided to feed my craving! I typically go to LOL burger, but read a review that raved about the turkey burger at this spot! I was sold! I arrived around 3:30pm. They have a dedicated parking a lot that had plenty of open spots when I arrived. When I walked in I read the sign that said seat yourself, so I did just that . The wait staff immediately came over with a menu. She asked if I needed another drink besides water. I am not a fan of ice cold water so I did request water with no ice. I checked out the menu period to arriving so I already knew my order ! I opted for the turkey burger with Parmesan garlic fries. The sound of this had my mouth watering in anticipation as I waited for my food to arrive . It appears the food was cooked fresh because it took a good 15 minutes for my food to arrived. There were only two other patrons in the restaurant so they were not busy . When my food arrived - I got so excited to take that first bite . I started with the fries! I enjoyed them but I did not taste the garlic . Additionally I am accustomed toParmesan cheese being grated thin- the cheese on the fries did not look like Parmesan, but they were tasty! Would I order them again? - no- they just did not taste like Parmesan garlic fries so no need to pay extra for it next time . Now for the star of the show—- this turkey burger was amazing!! Here is the deal, the actual Pattie is nothing special - it’s what is included with the Pattie that makes this good. The kale slaw , and the sauce - oh my gosh!! You get every macro you need , protein , carbs and fiber!!! Then to make it even better it has a spicy kick to it ! When I tell you I cleaned my plate ! There was not one crumb on my plate when I finished! My only complaint — please clean the router and the items next to it ! I sat in the booth directly by the router and the amount of dust on that thing was disturbing ! I wanted to clean it myself! I am sure this does not need to be stated - but I will be back and I would recommended you check this spot out !
Excited to try this place after seeing the reviews. Great parking in the back and back entrance. plenty of seating inside and out. Add some umbrellas over outside seating to block sun. Clean and cool restaurant design with adequate restrooms. Umbrella holder at the entrance was Clutch on this rainy day. I like that there is no greeter and you walk in and sit where you like. The server will come to you. Makes it feel Home. I sat at the bar with bartender Caleb, he was exceptional. Very clear on the specials. There were so many specials they could have made a new menu with them. That does force the server to remember a lot of things, but as a foodie, I was pleasantly pleased with the variety on the menu already along with the specials. I was super undecided, but I chose the Korean wings and a burger with tots. Korean wings-very crispy and flavorful, I can see why they’re a hit. Great portion and high-level execution. The peanuts and jalapeño with the sauce was top-tier. They came out blazing hot. So much steam from the wings-It looked like I had a vape pen. Took about 15 minutes, which wasn’t bad for quality. I couldn’t eat them all and took some to-go. One con- they are very jumbo wings as some of the drums were almost like a leg, lol but for these to be jumbo, they may have been of the best I have ever had and I’ve had a lot of chicken. I’m interested to try their lemon pepper And smoked wings also. Caleb allowed me to add the ingredients from the turkey burger to my beef burger. The burger was delicious. Excellent bread choice and quality of meat. Good price and value for what I received. The toppings were great. After finishing the burger, I realized that they didn’t put the bacon on it. The burger was so good, I wasn’t even mad. If I would have eaten it there, I would have gotten the bacon and it would’ve been even better so I didn’t knock a star for that. In a blessed spirit this Sunday morning. Field peas and corn succotash was a miss. It’s light, healthier option and appreciated at a bar, but it wasn’t cohesive or memorable. I feel like there’s enough skill back there to update this dish or change to an okra stew, crispy okra, Brussels, peas only, Mexican corn or something else healthy, flavorful, and for the vegans. I like this place. I’d recommend and come back. If you get one lunch meal with water, you can escape with tip and tax under $30 but most people get a drink or another item and end up paying $35-$40 per person before tip. You decide! Smart menu pricing.
The type of place that every neighborhood needs. Great food, great service, great drinks. There's not much else you could ask for. Their rotating specials are always fantastic and their Vietnamese Wings are must try.
