The Club is one of those places where you walk in and immediately realize it’s trying to be a lot of things at once. Golf simulators up front, restaurant and bar in the middle, VLTs competing for attention, and a conference or overflow room tucked in the back. Ambitious? Yes. Fully sorted out? Not quite. The food, for Thompson, is actually pretty good. This isn’t fine dining and no one should pretend it is, but the menu is solid pub food — burgers, wraps, tater tots — familiar, safe, and generally well executed. Consistency is decent, though there are moments where the food doesn’t feel especially fresh. Still, compared to many local options, it’s above average when it finally arrives. The atmosphere has potential. The golf simulators look like they could be a fun draw, even if I haven’t used them myself. The ceiling lighting — stars, space themes, and mood effects — is clever, but it feels disconnected from the rest of the room. Like several good ideas were approved separately and never fully coordinated. Not bad, just a little unsure of its own identity. Service is where things start to break down. The servers are friendly — genuinely so — but the service itself is inconsistent and often inattentive. Orders are taken, then seem to disappear into a loop of VLT service, table cleaning, bar work, and other distractions before actually getting entered. Simple things, like coffee cream, get forgotten and take far longer than they should. What makes this harder to excuse is that none of these visits were during busy times. The restaurant was calm, not slammed. Staffing wasn’t the issue either — on our last visit there were three staff on shift: one behind the bar, one on the floor, and one largely out of sight in the kitchen. Despite that, service still felt disorganized and unsure of priorities. The biggest issue is kitchen timing. Across three visits, food has never arrived in under 35–45 minutes, which is excessive for pub-style dishes. Worse, plates don’t arrive together. We’ve had meals where one dish clearly sat too long under a heat lamp — leaving a bun dried out and crispy — while the other plate arrived cold because it was finished too early and waited. That’s not a cooking problem; it’s a coordination problem. What this place really needs is a strong restaurant manager. Someone who can properly train servers on expectations and service flow, and who can also bring the kitchen and floor into sync so meals arrive hot, together, and on time. These are fixable issues. The Club has real potential. The food is better than average for Thompson, the staff are friendly, and the concept could work well. But slow kitchen times, confused service flow, and a lack of coordination hold it back. Right now, it feels like everyone is working hard — just not together.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars — No Notes This place is an absolute gem for a small northern town like Thompson. It’s not just a golf simulation club, it’s an experience. The food alone deserves its own spotlight. There seems to always be something new and creative! The kind of dishes you’d expect in a big city, not tucked away up north. You can tell real thought, testing, and passion go into every menu item before it ever reaches a plate, and it shows in every bite. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people. The owners go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and taken care of. That level of kindness and genuine customer care is rare these days, and it hits different when you experience it firsthand. The vibe is friendly, energetic staff who clearly love what they do, great music, and a space that proudly showcases local artists, turning the club into a hub for community talent and creativity. Whether you’re there to work on your swing, hang out with friends, or just eat ridiculously good food, this place delivers every single time. Thompson is lucky to have it. 5/5 — easily one of the best spots in town. If you haven’t been yet… what are you even doing? 🏌️‍♂️🔥

The staff, food, drinks and everything is amazeballs!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Alexis, Danika, Manny, Billy, Charlotte and all others were just fantastic and amazing people. This place can be super busy, but it is worth they wait. Keep being wonderful and thank you for the fun times and happy memories.
