This is the most beautiful golf course that I’ve ever been to. It was such a nice day to go for a round of golf with friends and we even saw a deer joining us. The way entering the golf course was a very easy drive and you can see the mountains and the wide horizon. The course itself is even more amazing, very well maintained too. The staff were helpful and also came to rescue us when the cart had a little mishap during the round. It’s a large course so I think it’s best you rent a cart but if you’d like to walk and have the energy, it’d probably be a very enjoyable one given the absolutely beautiful scenery.
I really wanted to like Swan-e-set. I really did. However, the experience is frankly a little lackluster for the price ($125) paid during peak times. The course itself (I played the resort course) is decent and challenging with the a large amount of fairway bunkers and tons of hazards every which way. It plays nicely. If you play well and straight, you're good. If not, you're in trouble. My main issues were with the poor state of the tee boxes, lackluster manicuring of the course itself and the disorganization upon checking on and getting your cart. The management there seems to be quite upset about bringing ones bag into the clubhouse (I witnessed a couple people get lectured) so you have to leave it outside. Upon paying, you have to go to a second clubhouse outside to get your cart and show your proof of payment. The carts, although new, don't have GPS screens and weren't even clean (still had garbage) from the group that had used them previously. The signage isn't great either, so many golfers were wandering around confused on where to grab carts, where to drop off rentals and where to pay. All in all, its a decent course but worth maybe $75. $125 is robbery and it just makes you feel like you're paying for the massive Clubhouse, however iconic it is.
This is truly a beautiful golf course with a fantastic layout, but I have to agree that the management oversight is disappointing. Frankly, the course conditions are not up to standard given the premium price. Additionally, I was surprised to see basic amenities neglected. For instance, the air blower in the changing area appears to have been out of order for many months (perhaps over four). The lack of attention to fixing such a simple convenience reflects poorly on the overall course management. I sincerely hope management addresses these maintenance issues. This course deserves to be in better shape!
