Sinkers Lounge - Manhattan

Great place. It is cozy and was a bit busy around seven, but manageable. The staff was really kind and food was fresh. It did take a good minute to get my food but we weren't in a rush. They have 9 holes of table top mini golf and 9 holes of traditional mini golf. In my opinion, Sinkers Lounge is great for a date night, birthday events, family fun, or just a good time. Will definitely come again!

While I'm sure that this is a fun place to get cocktails and play mini golf, I never got the chance, and my experience has been nothing short of abysmal. I booked a reservation with Sinkers here in Manhattan at 7:30 PM on a Sunday using their online booking as directed. When me and my boyfriend arrived, we were told that they closed at 8. I asked to be refunded and cancel the reservation as there was not enough time to play even one full round and I had booked unlimited, and asked why they have one so close to closing time, to which they said they didn't know. The worker cancelled my reservation, and told me I would be refunded when the owner got in on Monday. I asked to be called to confirm when that happened. I never was. After a week went by with no refund, I called. The owner asked if I had given it enough time to process. I said yes, a week was plenty of time. I called several more times over the next couple weeks. She had no answers and seemed entirely apathetic. Finally, she told me to file a dispute with my bank. After I went through that process, I waited weeks for it to go through. The dispute required Sinkers to approve it, and when I called to ask, they weren't even sure if they had. Finally, I went in person to ask for what I needed; written proof. The owner was too busy to even stand still and talk to me, and wrote me a scribbled note on a scrap paper that is barely legible. She couldn't even wait for me to find the bank statement for the date and amount. Ann, while the money may not mean much to you, a date night that I budgeted for as a college student is an impactful amount of money to me. It has been over a month since this happened, and I still don't have a refund. I wasn't even granted basic dignity and respect. I am beyond frustrated, and I hope that no other person has to go through anything like this from this business again. They admitted to making a mistake, but then put the responsibility on me to spend hours of my time negotiating and searching for answers in order to get back the money from the experience I never even had.

The so called “manager” was drinking heavily on the job, eating in front of customers, watching TikTok loud enough for me to hear over music from across the room, not measuring drinks and clearly not giving enough alcohol. Used to love coming here with my wife. But this past experience was absolutely unacceptable….
