Schifferdecker Golf Course

I’ve lived in Joplin most my life. I just bought some clubs again a couple weeks ago. I haven’t played for 15+ years and didn’t play much then. This course is beautiful and I’m so suprised at how nice a public’s course it is. I have played several times the last couple weeks and intend to gold here the rest of my days.

I love the course! Great value for the quality of the course and facilities! Management is something to be desired though. The last two Saturday mornings I have played, I've been rushed to the tee box before my tee time and paired with a stranger. Charged for a cart fee, even though I didn't get my own. That forced me to play the entire round with the person, without the option to play through without them. I added an hour and a half to almost two extra hours because of the tag along. I might try walking it later on in the season, but I'll spend money at other establishments for the time being. They are pushing the course a little too hard and forcing people to adjust their golf game to fit their criteria. It's not a Hallmark movie and I'm not here to make life long pin pals!

Wonderful course! Played Saturday morning and got paired up with a gentleman. Not sure if he was too happy about it, but I know I for sure had a great time! I hope him and I can play again sometime. Weekends seem super busy, so I fully understand getting paired. For a city golf course I find this place great! I hope they don’t change a thing.
