My heart hurts! Don’t go! I love emceeing shows at the Salvage Station; the staff is amazing and everyone from the sound folks to the folks handling the door to the bartenders to the owners are exquisite community partners! I have tears in my eyes writing this, and I hope that the Salvage Station finds a new forever home, because they are such a staple of this community. These photos are taken over the years, some backstage, some in the various green rooms, and some just hanging around the compound or taken from the point of view of an audience member. The Salvage Station has been such an incredible community partner for the Asheville music school. I’ve also witnessed the Salvage Station open its doors for other benefits, including raising money for our community members whose children needed medical care and other nonprofits partnerships over the years. The owners are compassionate and organized and passionate about what they do. From the standpoint of attending a show (not being part of the show) the sound is excellent. The bartenders are patient. The selection of drinks is great. The location by the river, and the “compound“ allows children to feel comfortable at some shows, and there are lots of little spaces to get away and have conversations if you wish or dance if you wish. So much to love… the indoor stage, the outdoor stage, the lighting, the sound, the stars, the food… Thank you Salvage Station, for everything you have done for our community. We will be there with you as you continue your journey with Asheville.

We went for a metal show! The area and the venue were BEAUTIFUL! A nice bar area and bathroom after you enter. The stage has a great setup. There were lots of vendors with yummy food and drinks (better prices than I expected)! Also, you can bring in an empty water bottle and fill it up with water for free, which was nice! The staff was so helpful and kind. Side note: if you want to park at the venue, it costs $10 (at least when I attended), but I like being close and having my own car there, so I happily paid. I believe there is free parking with a shuttle as an option. Also, there is a no re-entry (can't go to the car in the middle of the show and come back). We would most definitely go to another event here! 10/10 would recommend! 🤘

Great places for outdoor shows! So many great food and beverage places right on the river! This was my first time here but it seems it will be closed by the end of the year. That's so sad! I hope they can find a way to thrive. Free parking and shuttle was a major plus. Lots of security throughout the event. The sound was great for 3 out of the 4 bands we saw. Several families were there and lots of places to sit on the ground or your own camping chair.
