Rope Rider Golf Course

I have played this course twice. Both times were a joy and I would play it again if I was in the area. You will find beach on every hole but not obnoxious. Water sprinkled here and there and lots of beautiful pines, stay to the left on hole one to avoid the large one on the right guarding the green. Overall a beautiful and fun course that is challenging for the average golfer and maybe frustrating for those with higher than average handicaps. Most likely you will have some wind. I did try a burger at the turn, it’s best if you call it in between holes 8 & 9, it was a delicious burger at upscale restaurant pricing. Stay and play is in a beautiful setting with a nice selection of options. Don’t miss out on playing Prospector course as well.

Long length but not technical. Pretty course although Prospector is nicer and more interesting. The amenities are awkward where the putting green is across the parking lot, the driving range is a mile away, and the first tee is far from the clubhouse. And the clubhouse has very little amenities. The food was very very limited. Recent update - they have a food stall with good options. One thing I keep noticing is the golf staff is not very professional. I love walking this course as it’s a good workout. Another update - I found the course better than Prospector actually, including longer white tee length. The only challenge is that the range is at driving distance and the putting green is far from the clubhouse.

Played on a Wednesday using the special that was running for playing both courses same day. Highly recommend playing if you haven’t. Greats were close to perfect. Tee boxes, fairways, traps and overall the course is in great shape. For the price it’s hard to beat. If you’re wanting something to eat they have candy in the pro shop but also a nice grill with great options for food and drink just outside of the pro shop, and it opens nice and early. We were able to get burgers there after the round. It’s the flatter of the two courses at suncadia and a little easier overall.
