I moved a park model trailer into Rock Glen. Circumstanes happened and I could no longer move in. I put the trailer for Sale but Rock Glen forced me to use them as the realtor charging more than some realtors. My house sat for 2 years with no offer. Instead I received messages upon messages that people who were interested could not get in touch with anyone to see it. They also denied an offer without even telling me. Other owners in the park had same issues. For the 2 years I continued to pay the park, expensive monthly fees while they did nothing to sell it. I did all the advertising. Finally after more than two years it sold for not much over half of what I paid. I had to lower it to extremes to make it sell. All in all I have lost over 100 000 dollars with this trailer. I believe it would have sold much sooner if I had had a real realtor. Its a family run business who make their own rules. This park is NOT a good place to live.
Had fun with my family, but in terms of a camp ground it’s probably one of my least favourite I’ve been to. The camp sites are so incredibly small for what they’re priced at, they limit you to one vehicle per site and you have to pay per tent that you bring so if you’re like me with a big family then you’ll be emptying your wallet. The camp sites are located right by noisy driveways and walkways and floodlights but if you can get past that you’re okay. Pros: the showers are free, the pool was nice and the play area was fun for the kids. The conservation area nearby was awesome to explore and that’s about it.
Great location, the glen rock conservation area was a neat little attraction to see and I would recommend seeing it. We were a little disappointed in the campground as they have rules that are in place that are NOT posted anywhere, communication to their guests is non existent, and the two ladies we dealt with at the front desk were far from nice. It seemed like they hated their jobs and did not want to be there. They didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in or had questions. Customer service in a family campground should be first priority. The gentleman we first dealt with when we arrived was fantastic and very friendly. The pool hours are all over the place and not posted in very visible spots amongst the campground for new visitors to see. Not much for kids to do there unless you want to pay for the mini golf and or swim all day. We were hoping for some interactive activities for kids to do with others in the campground. For example, other places we have been have hayrides or family games going on through the day for people to join in on. The sewer smell was horrible and we lost hydro one of the nights. The wifi is not worth buying as it kicks you off every ten minutes or so. (Not that we needed it but it was nice to stream Netflix movies for the kiddos at night for a raining night) overall, we were disappointed in our visit there. It was our first time as a family being there and unfortunately will be the last time.
