Riverwoods Golf Course

My brother and I played Riverwoods last week on July 3rd. We had not played the course for a number of years as it had gone downhill after Louie Runge sold it. In fact, it was closed for some time and allowed to go back to nature. What the new owners have accomplished is amazing! It is close to being what it was in the glory years when the Runges owned it. The greens are a bit too slow and the fairways still a bit rough, but I bet, based on what we saw that it will get better and better. It is a great park-like setting with majestic spruce trees and a river running through it. Nice driving range and the pro shop was well stocked. There was even had a golf simulator set up inside. Give this course a try - you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful course! Spectacular course manager! Went here with a very large group before a wedding and we all had an absolute blast! If you’re in the area, make a stop at Riverwoods Golf Course!! ⛳️

Great round of 9 holes. First time that I've played golf in too long and it was a very friendly place that made it easy to slip back into playing. I will be back.
