The front desk staff were very friendly. The front lobby was very nice. The hotel is very expensive for what you get. The bed was so soft I had a sore back when I woke up in the morning. The breakfast was less than adequate. We had to leave a $250 security deposit on the room. I've been traveling for a lot of years and never heard of such a thing. We didn't know there wasn't an elevator and my husband is handicapped. Good thing there are ground floor rooms. There is one luggage cart but there are huge lips at the door entrance and the bedroom door; so it takes two people to get the cart into the building and into the room. Not very convenient. We had been out for the evening and when we returned we had to go to the back of the building to find one of the three spots left. The facility was very busy with a banquet. Certainly no handicapped places available. We would not stay here again.

We booked in with our 13U Hockey team, and after a few hiccups at check-in which were dealt with, our group had a great stay. The staff were friendly, the location was perfect (5 min from the rink) and the group rate was great. We'll be calling again if we come back next year. Cheers

We stayed for One night to attend a wedding nearby. This was our first visit here.||First the GOOD stuff: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Sign in was quick and easy. The Inn itself is reasonably updated and nicely finished. Good water pressure in the shower. There is plenty of free parking. ||The NOT so good stuff: It is overpriced for what it is and what it offers but, unfortunately, it is the only game in town. Hotels are cheaper in downtown Ottawa. There are no elevators, only stairs to get to the second floor, though I'm told a ground floor could be requested for the mobile challenged, if one is available. The complimentary breakfast was, to say the least, especially for the room price they charged, very disappointing. Cold, stale and some beverage dispensers not working. All the rooms that I knew about had windows that were marked inoperable and couldn't be opened.....not a good thing in case of fire. Not that it was a really big deal but it was the only hotel that I have been to that doesn't offer a veteran's rate. ||All in all a mediocre offering for the money we paid and if we had to do it again we would pick a hotel further out, with a better price, a hot breakfast and an elevator, and just drive the extra miles. We would not stay here again. ||Finally, something that is not the hotel's fault is that there is a photo radar speed trap on Hwy 17 at the lights.
