If you like screaming children left unattended and running up and down the hallways, sitting playing on devices, and shrieking at all hours, this is the place for you. Seven children and ONE adult in the pool? Check. Pool is NOT heated. It's freezing as is the room it's in. Feels like the A/C is running in there in winter. TV didn't work. I spent most of my day there waiting for someone who came THREE times and did exactly nothing. TV literally turns itself off and on at random. It came on in the middle of the night and the best I could do is mute it. Power buttons on the remote and the TV didn't work. Next morning they came and changed the TV. Then I go to take a bath and the drain stopper doesn't work. It's not even IN the drain. I call for service for the 5th time in less than 12 hours and they never show up. I'm standing there fresh out the freezing pool wanting to take a hot bath. Called reception and spoke to someone with ZERO CSR skills. I gave up.Took a quick shower to warm up and then checked out. I was supposed to stay longer but there is no way you're gonna sleep with all that going on. ALL Morning long I was hearing ppl talking. Turns out they put me in a room right next to the staff room. They keep the door open and are LOUD. There is a lot of banging and slamming at all hours in the hotel. After eating supper at the restaurant I spent the night vomiting and with the trots. So all in all? ZERO stars.
This hotel is really not bad at all. Yes its dated. Reminds me of 1980s hotels along highways . The most important things are all fine.. clean, everything in our room worked. Bathroom clean. Bed and linens clean. Many trucks and workers staying. But all in all very quiet. The pool is the best Cleanest and deepest hotel pool I've ever seen. Worth a visit. Wal Mart less then 15 min walk. Tim's across the street. Staff very friendly.
I stayed here on a Saturday night. I expected there to be loud noise because it's tournament season etc (and because everybody else's reviews mentioned that, and there were lots of cars parked outside) but it was surprisingly quiet - and the Jays were playing! I found the bed/ pillows to be very comfortable and all of the channels that I needed worked. My kids loved swimming in the pool which we had all to ourselves. Yes, things are a bit dated as with most hotels but I enjoyed my stay and had no issues. The heating unit made some clicking noises that I didn't recognize, but there was really no problem at all with the thermostat function. I liked that the room didn't have one of those super tiny fridges that's kind of useless, it was a medium size one so it actually fit leftovers and beverages. And there was great shawarma food across the road.
