Paradise Canyon Golf Resort

Honestly I really wanted to give this place a good review because it has so much potential. But so far I'm severely underwhelmed. The condo is cute with lots of space the kitchen is well stocked. But then there is a sign saying don't cook fragrant foods, as well as two other pages of do not do this and that. The kitchen has labeled quantities with the dishes, but my cupboard says three mixing bowls, and we only have two. Hopefully that doesn't ding us. Then the blender and kettle are from the early 80's I'm sure. I wanted to have a nice hot bath tonight but there is hardly any hot water at all. It was enough to fill half an inch of the tub then start running cold. The temp is to stay at 22 or extra charges will be made, you can only have water in the bedrooms and the list of micromanagement seems to go on and on and on there is literally a notice on every flat surface. This is definitely a place for just golfers, I asked if there were any just walking paths because it's such a beautiful location and I was met with a nope only golfers can go on the paths. If you want to see the scenery without golfing you are out of luck unless you want to awkwardly stare between houses. My father in law is having a heck of a time with his unit and the appliances coming apart. They must have a stellar marketing team, if they get people consistently renting here. From my untrained eye the golf course looks amazing.

The place was located in a very unique setting. When coming into resort they land completely changed to a mountain setting. The resort rooms need updating. We had a two bedroom and second one and was very small. Air-conditioner that room must have been 20 years old and really didn't work well and noisy. Rest of unit central worked fine. Furniture outdated but silver rating so l quess suitable. The kitchen was okay and utensils average.Really wasn't much to do unless you golfed. Golf course very busy and looked like a really difficult course but beautiful seting I Area setting outside great place to see attractions. Restaurant responsible priced and excellent. Pool and hot well kept up. Customer service desk really nobody ever there. When service needed did attend to but request by text for the most part.Over all satisfied for what we needed. I wasn't to impressed with resort amenities fee over 300.00 basically use of pool and tennis and basketball court. Problem getting equipment at times.lt wasn't the type of resort thats we are used to but it's listed has golf resort and we didn't golf. Booked mainly because very few resorts until you go to Banff which is very busy.Perfect landing place after exploring very cool areas . Buffalo Head Smashed very interesting .Franks Slide very interesting attraction. On way back to Edmonton stopped Drumheller Alberta Dinosaur Museum well worth seeing. One last thing watch out for deer at night they are everywhere.

So disappointing! First of all we were charged an extra cleaning fee of $75 because it was a two bedroom ( seems all we could find), even though there was only the two of us. Bedroom one was fine…the second bedroom was like an attached motel unit with two beds, and one TV and an old bathroom that could be locked off - but had it’s own door from the outside.|Also charged a daily resort fee although the golf course and restaurant were closed when we were there (early season).|Not up to the standards we are used to.
