Oglebay Resort Golf

What a great time. The course was in amazing condition...greens and fairways were perfect. As you would expect, the course had a good amount of hills. Took us about 4.5 hours to complete our round. Highly recommend a visit.

Hotel room 3 stars (needs updating) Restaurant 5 stars (Great food @ reasonable prices) Staffing 5 stars (Terrific at hotel and golf course) Palmer Course 4 stars (4.5 hour round - Stressed course conditions) Jones Course 0 stars (5.75 hour round) *Barefoot drunken idiots dominated the Jones course making it an unbearable round and ruining what was expected to be a premium golf experience. Rangers powerless to control the chaos making it apparent that a premium experience was less a priority than cashing green fees. Despite the area's beauty and proximity to Central Ohio I cannot justify a return to Oglebay or positive recommendation as a golf destination. Truly disappointed to post this review.

Outdoor pool is open from 11am to 7pm. Get there early if you want to get a chair, especially with an umbrella. Otherwise you will be on the ground in the grassy area. Pool is not super big, but nice if you have Kids they are easy to keep an eye on. Lifeguards are attentive and keep swimmers in line. You are allowed to have floating devices and pool noodles in the shallow end. There is a blow up pool slide and jump platform in the deep end that is fun but challenging at the same time. They have a snack bar that offers ice cream, hot dogs, chips, pop and more. It makes for a nice day out with the family.
