5/5 customer service: I decided to empty and refill my hot tub, right before a snow storm. The next day, I needed some chemicals to balance out the water. The owner was helping her husband plow the lot. She stopped, and opened the store to help me. I could have come back, she said it was no problem. She helped me find everything I needed. Outstanding customer service! She was so nice and positive and went out of her way to help me. Thank you! -C

Update: To add context. I absolutely am the mother of an old employee of yours AND was a customer. In 2011 and 2012 my family and I came to Nelsons since our above ground pool had water clarity issues. In 2011 we were given pool chemicals to reduce the pH. It was end of season so I decided to just empty our pool and take it down. In 2012, my father died and I was with him during this time, the pool was not maintained and being a cheap above ground pool it had a poor filtration system (not purchased here). My husband went to Nelsons and took water in to have it tested. We were sold hundreds of dollars worth of chemicals. We did what we were told, went in again a week later since we were still having issues and were told we couldn't have used the chemicals properly and should have gotten a better pool. Then told to buy more chemicals. So, yes, we absolutely were customers. I chose to excuse this business's poor behavior until my son started working there and was verbally abused frequently and when injured told to lie about it. He was yelled at and cussed at and belittled. He is not disgruntled and neither am I. We chose to let others know how this business treats employess and customers. He has a new job he goes to and is blessed to be treated kindly and with dignity. His review and my review do pertain to your business (as a business owner how you treat your employees while working for customers does indeed impact how you are rated AS A BUSINESS. How you treat your customers and how you treat your employees IS a direct reflection on your business practices. I was choosing not to say a word and only leave you one star based on my experiences with your company but you are outright dishonest as many of your other reviews state.

I met with two different salespeople about saunas. While friendly and knowledgeable about the products, when they gave me the quote on the model I was interested in, it was from printouts in a binder: $10,500. I had researched online prior to going in and the manufacturer is selling this model for $8400. When I pointed this out, the salesperson was surprised and said the manufacturer doesn’t show the prices online (but she looked it up and saw the same price). I also have an email quote from the manufacturer for $8400. The salesperson said she would need to check with someone else the following day and get back to me on pricing. I never heard back. While I was willing to pay a little more to support a local business, this is a significant mark up and the lack of communication is equally concerning. Do your own research on pricing to make sure you are not paying thousands above the manufacturer’s current price!
