NEDS on Gull Lake

I am in the area for a few months for work and was told by locals to check it out. First time I ate in and noticed that the ambiance really lacks-especially compared to the outside which is incredibly illuminated (and it wouldn't take much to create a cozy atmosphere either) and a beautiful lake view from the windows. The server who sat me was quite rude and unwelcoming despite the fact the place was empty at 5pm. Moreover, my pizza was not baked the way I ordered (triple pepperoni but only had a half dozen or so scattered on top). My second visit was a pick up. I ordered a Yard Bird with OR and was instructed that I would need to pay extra for ketchup for my onion rings "which also covers the cost of the cups they come in "(are you joking??). The sandwich was really blah and the "pretzel" bun was stale. Moreover, the girls who were working behind the bar did not offer a welcoming vibe-no smiles, no hellos-you can see they are not a happy bunch. The servers need some coaching on customer service. If I owned that restaurant, I find smiling, kind, generous and welcoming servers. Not going back-I will continue giving my business to Compass + Cleaver -for not only for their outstanding consistent amazing authentic service, but consistently delicious food to boot. Don't waste your time or $$$ at Neds and go to C+C!!!!

Love, love, loved Ned’s! First snow of the season and I sat inside and watched the beautiful snow fall on the lake while enjoying the Lions game inside. Food was incredible, and I mean every bit of everything we had. Enjoyed ice cold beats and some local IPA’s. Service was great!

This is my boyfriend and my favorite place we found recently. We have been multiple times in the last month. I crave the strawberry fields salad every day. The food is so good & the service and staff is incredible. We are excited for the nicer weather coming soon to be on the patio.
