About
A focused club fitting studio where player data is used to build custom Nakashima Golf clubs on-site. This is not a simulator bay rental facility for entertainment, but a performance-oriented center led by certified master club fitters. The process involves analyzing ball speed, launch angle, and spin to optimize equipment for each individual's swing.

This is a review of the College of the Desert Driving Range, not Nakashima Golf. There is no Google Maps entry for the driving range, so people have been leaving their reviews of the range here. Today was my only visit, and I don't plan on returning. I found the state of the range to be one of total disrepair. The grass hitting areas do not seem to be managed with a proper rotation. The entire hitting zone (at least for today) had been completely destroyed by the early afternoon. Each and every station was nothing but dirt. In its heyday, this must have been an awesome facility. It is spacious and designed with both grass and mat hitting areas. The machines work with either credit cards or the Select Pi phone app. I'd love to go back if they started managing the grass better.
Here from Canada and our off season. I was nice to find the range so close to where we was staying. I met John (golf pro and instructor) first day and he was very friendly and informative (Did not take any lessons. I was there at 7:30 am and it was open. 102 balls for $10 or 51 for $5 is a good deal I thought. The range was in rough shape, (no pun intended) but I was there to hit balls not putt on the range. They offer a chipping green and putting green which you could use you own balls. No obligation to buy. I plan on bringing the wife tonight for after dinner so I'll make sure I'm there before 8 so we can get some balls. Anyway been there twice and both times were very good experiences. There were plenty of bays and got to hit off grass, not mats. I would recommend to anyone looking to work on your game or swing. Thank you John it was a pleasure meeting you both times.
The CoD Driving Range is a nice little spot to spend the morning. $7 -50 balls $11 -90 balls. I get there right when they open and there are usually only a few people there and I get fresh grass from the rotation.
