Best thing about this place is that it’s almost never busy. They increased their prices this year and it’s just not worth $40 a person for this level of course maintenance. A few years ago it was like $20 and unless they are gonna cut their prices, get better/newer carts, improve the course, or something then it’s just not worth it.
Worst golf course I have played in my life. $44 a round, I wouldn’t pay $15 to play this course again. Not maintained at all, grass is all crab, barely can’t tell the difference between rough and fairways, greens terrible, paths falling apart, just awful. I played her a couple years ago for $20 and it was in better shape then, where is all the extra money going because it’s definitely not going towards upkeep.
Edit: Disappointed multiple times with a closed ranged. Why did I pay for a pass if I can't access it. I started playing here this year, and it definitely is getting a worse reputation than I think is fair. Overall, my experience has been great. I play every other Monday here with cart for $20, I have the Season Range Pass for $200, and I take lessons every other week or so with Chris. I even have received some bonus time with PGA Steve at the range when he comes around. I just brought my friends for a round this past Monday, we enjoyed our time. The course design itself seems to be on the simpler side. I have only played on a handful of courses around Indianapolis, however Morningstar seems to have the least amount of Water Hazards and Sand Traps. Its a pretty flat and straight course. I have had Zero issues with the greens. I don't see the fairway much, but I've seen the rough plenty, and hey, its rough, but I can still find my ball and play out of it just fine. The cart path is on its last life, but that doesn't really change the way I play golf. I'm happy this club is helping me get into the sport, get better at the sport, and not break the bank. This isn't the perfect course, but I don't think its necessary to shred the course because comparison (to other courses) is the theif of joy.
