Moon Golf - Auburn

Just relocated here from a large metro area for cancer treatment in Auburn and as doctors restore my health, I intend to restore my golf skills. My new body needs different golf shafts and their golf club restoration department is well trained, empathetic and detail oriented. Their work was good. The store has the feeling of your local pro shop that I grew up with and began my career within...again, not a "big box store" ...don't change. I'll be back again. Ron retired PGA pro

Yesterday, I visited Moongolf for a driver shaft fitting, hoping to find a shaft suited to my swing. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The fitter used a launch monitor, but the explanation of my swing data like swing speed, launch angle, spin rate was minimal. It might have been better to just borrow some clubs from friends, try them out a few times, and choose one. It would be more helpful if they clearly explained why the shaft suits my swing and how specs like weight, torque, or kick point would benefit my game. And, The shafts they recommended were all retail-priced, and I was given very few options to choose from.(Maybe they only had a limited selection of shafts compatible with Callaway adapters)

I don’t play near as much as I used to, and am about a 20 handicap, but finally needed to get a whole new set and walking bag for an upcoming first trip to Shoal Creek and another round in a month. Worked with Ben on a club fitting and he was great. Excellent service and attention to detail. Golf is expensive, but they waive the fitting fee if you buy clubs there. Couldn’t recommend Moon Golf more if you’re looking for personal service and quality.
