Mari Chuy's - Midtown

Bistec beef plate was like Chinese food sauce. Thin squares of beef and not stew chunks. Second time disappointing meal from here. What a shame because the atmosphere in location is really good.

I had a combination fajitas, beef and chicken, to go. I'm from Texas and typically don't try Mexican food out of the Lone Star State. These fajitas were really good.

I know this place can do better than what I experienced. I will say the service was ok but I could tell that the staff was annoyed they couldn’t sit at the bar to eat once we walked in. Food was horrible. I ordered a tostada salad and the taco shell tasted like cleaning products. The lettuce was brown and the beans tasted old. Vegetables were soaked in oil. Pretty awful and probably won’t come here ever again.
