Mambo Seafood - Brooks City Base

Had an amazing dinner at Mambo Seafood – Brooks City Base! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I ordered the grilled red snapper served with salad, roll, and their famous Mambo Special Fried Rice packed with shrimp, pork, and chicken — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The rice had that smoky, savory flavor that stands out. I also tried the shrimp, fish & octopus soup, shrimp empanadas, and two drinks — the Strawberry Margarita and Mango Lava (frozen mango drink). Everything came out quickly and tasted fantastic. The restaurant is bright, clean, and colorful with a fun, family-friendly vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive, and prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in San Antonio — it’s a local favorite for a reason!

Not impressed. I really loved the service & atmosphere. The sea food boils are not their forte! We order 2 seafood boils plus a cluster- I can say it tasted ok like it was from frozen and not fresh. The color was off(overcooked) my potatoes were underdone, the corn was great and the shrimp was delicious. We also ordered the bacon wrap shrimp which was delicious. As with any of my reviews I will be back & change my reviews as needed. Atmosphere is great 😊 enjoyable music not so loud I can’t hear my friends. Clean, and the staff was great! E

This place is awsome, I don't know why the bad reviews. Everything was fresh and delicious 😋. I ordered the calamari, fish plate with golden shrimp. Super good. The giant plate of there famous rice was good for the kids. Although they do love spicy food. And the skinny margarita was to die for, excellent not to over powering. There xmas pomegranate drink also superb comes with an ornament. Will definitely return when craving sea food. Plenty of fruity drinks for the lady's. The Mongo nada margarita again not overly sweet just perfect.Went back again for the noche buena drink. 😋😋😋
