Legacy Hills Golf Club

Legacy Hills Golf Club is an excellent public course. One of the best designed public tracks in the area. Well maintained, with a challenging design and greens that require more than average effort to read the slope of the green. Plenty of water hazards and doglegs to navigate. Its design is akin to two separate courses. The front 9 is relatively short and narrower compared to modern course design, given it's one of the oldest courses in Indiana. The back 9 is newer and offers more length and a more interesting design, IMHO. We played in mid-October, so expect aerated greens. Our price to play was excellent for our outing. Our round finished in 3 hours 20 minutes, the pace of play was outstanding. I highly recommend Legacy Hills if you're in the area.

The course was nice. Fairway grass could be shorter. Sometimes you can't tell where the Fairway ends and the rough begins. Reasonable price. Carts could use some upgrades. The service in the pro shop was excellent and friendly. Challenging course. I will be returning to play another round in the future.

The course is in great shape. If you want all carts back at 6:15p for those who tee off at 2:10p, you really do need a ranger on the course to move slower golfers along. It was 1 of the slowest rounds I have ever golfed!
