Kona Grill - Oak Brook

I was there for the dinner last night. They need more trained servers. The runner/busser was more aware of what was going on and checked on us more than our server itself. They had to change my steak few times until they get the meat temp right. The appetizer was very good as well as the drinks. I will only post the appetizers pictures because i might try them again and if i like the food this time i will reconsider my rating and will update the pictures.

We had a wonderful dinner at Kona Grill in Oakbrook! I brought my two nieces and nephew, and the service was top notch from the moment we walked in. Our waitress, Imari, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and even the general manager stopped by twice to check on us (I wish I remembered her name!). The kids’ bento box meals for $8 are such a great value, and you can add on a fun ice cream sundae for just $1, which the kids loved. I treated myself to their seasonal Pumpkin Mocha Martini—absolutely amazing! For dinner, I had the Steak & Frites (6oz NY Strip with Béarnaise sauce), and it was cooked perfectly. To top it all off, I couldn’t resist their seasonal pumpkin pie, and it did not disappoint. Great food, excellent service, and a family-friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Charlie was absolutely outstanding. He took care of us and made us feel at home and comfortable. And more so, valued and special. He was personable without being overbearing and just such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was super nice and fancy without being stuffy. Also, the bartender on 12.28.25 4pm was amazing!!!!
