About
A large, fully-illuminated outdoor practice facility in Apex, this location features a 27-hole par-3 course and a 60-station driving range open late for night practice. While the facility does not have indoor simulators, it is a dedicated training center with on-site PGA professionals available for instruction. Customer reviews often note its value for beginners and short-game practice, though some mention it can get crowded.

Just experienced the worst customer-facing service I've ever encountered. I thought the check-in guy was grouchy, but he seems like Mother Teresa compared to what I faced outside while grabbing a cart. That guy was a horrid, miserable human. Also, since I'm taking the time to share this, the course condition is also really bad - overgrown grass, weeds on greens and even a complete "bunker green" as shown in the photo. You can't expect Pebble Beach at this price, but I think they could do better. Kind of bummed since my kids are just getting into the game and thought this would be a great place to continue bringing them, but can't see us returning with the type of attitudes they have working here.
I recently checked out Knights Play Golf Center in Apex and had a great time. The 27-hole par-3 course is fun and easy to play, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. The driving range is awesome, with lots of stations and lights so you can practice even at night. The course is well-kept, the staff are friendly, and the Pro Shop has everything you need. Plus, the Clubhouse Grill is a nice spot to grab a snack after your round. It’s a relaxed, local spot that’s perfect for a quick game, practice, or just hanging out with friends on the course.
Great spot if you just want to show up in pajamas, hit some balls, or teach someone the basics of golf. It’s a small and easy course, perfect for casual fun. Unfortunately, within the past year it feels like the upkeep has really slipped. The greens are in rough shape and the tee boxes look more like sand traps. Knights Play isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for a high-quality golf course experience. That said, the staff is always very friendly, and the clubhouse serves decent food at fair prices. I’ve always enjoyed coming here over the years, but at this point it’s more of a driving range than a serious course. Trying to play full rounds here almost makes your game worse with the condition of the greens.
