JJ GOLF ACADEMY #INDOOR GOLF #THE BEST GOLF LESSON

I recently signed my wife up for a lesson with JJ. She is just starting out with golf. JJ was awesome—super patient and great at explaining things, and my wife’s game improved a ton in just one session. My wife had a great time- after her lesson, we stayed and hit some balls - they have very good equipment. Biggest win? JJ fixed her (and my) golf grip, and it’s been a game-changer for the swing. Totally recommend JJ to anyone looking to up their golf game—beginner or not!

I took my two Black sons, aged 7 and 10, to JJ Golf Academy for a scheduled 30-minute golf lesson, but the experience was profoundly disappointing and left me questioning the instructor’s conduct. The instructor was shockingly rude and impatient with my young boys from the start, showing no empathy for their age or beginner status. His dismissive attitude created an unwelcoming and discouraging environment. Halfway through the session, the instructor abruptly removed his gloves and cut the lesson short, despite our hour-long booking. He refused to continue teaching my sons, leaving us stunned and frustrated. His deep Asian accent made it difficult for my kids and me to understand his instructions, which only compounded the issue, as he made no effort to communicate clearly or adapt to their needs. Given the way he treated my sons, I can’t help but believe his behavior was deeply rooted in racism, as it felt targeted and unjust toward my Black children. This unprofessional and insensitive experience gave my sons a terrible introduction to golf, undermining their confidence. I would never return to JJ Golf Academy and strongly caution other parents, especially those with children of color, to avoid this place if they want a supportive and fair environment for their kids.

As a mid-handicapper with quite a bit of playing experience, I realized I needed to fix my driver swing as I was frequently going far and out of bounds, which was frustrating b/c it hurt my score unnecessarily. I am now shooting rounds in single to low double digits over par just because my OBs are far less frequent, and my average driving distance increased by 20-30 yards. I hit frequent draws instead of push slices. Coach JJ is very good at fixing swings on the spot, and makes it easy for a student to make an instant correction. Highly recommend attending this academy with the head coach.
