I went in for a fitting for new clubs - Derek was so knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn’t be happier with the setup we landed on, and would recommend everyone to get in to Impact Golf if you’re looking to get fit or enjoy a great indoor golf atmosphere. They had every shaft/head option I could think of and I left feeling confident that my bag was the best it could be. Big thanks to Derek for the fitting and experience, and to Luke for assembling my setup. 10/10 recommend and I will definitely be back in the future!

I am a 69-year-old, reasonably athletic male, carry a 7.4 handicap index, and golf 3-5 rounds of 18 each week when courses are open here in Colorado. Prior to my fittings (and lessons) with Derek my handicap index was a wildly fluctuating and unpredictable 21. Additionally, my clubhead speed has slowed dramatically since turning 55. Prior to having my first of three full-bag fittings at Impact Golf I had two full bag fittings at a nationally known “big box” golf store (I’ll leave the name out of this review, to avoid “throwing shade” at that retailer). After those two fittings my game was only slightly positively impacted, and the positive change was certainly not enough to justify the cost of their fitting process and a completely new bag of clubs. Now, on to the review of my fitting experience with Derek at Impact Golf in Sandy, Utah. Just minutes into my first fitting it was clear that Derek was truly a master fitter, and a masterful communicator of crucial issues and dimensions of fitting and the game. I know that artificial intelligence is being touted as a great help to golf fitters at different big box stores, but there is no way at the present time that AI can replace TRUE, REAL LIFE golf intelligence and expertise like Derek’s. Not only did Derek try different shafts and clubheads in that first fitting (and in my last two as well), but he clearly and thoroughly explained WHY certain shaft and head options singularly and in combination were performing the way they did, and what that meant for MY particular swing and biomechanics. What Derek’s fittings added that I had never experienced in my previous big-box fittings was a focus on the CAUSES of head and shaft combinations rather than simply focusing on the [sometimes frustrating] outcomes (effects). This alone was worth the fitting experience as not only made Derek’s fitting process and decisions more transparent, comprehensible, and effective in the long run, but it added a crucial perspective to my own self-analysis when practicing and playing: a more productive focus on causes and not just effects. At my last fitting Derek asked me about my game and priorities for the new set of clubs. My main goals in this fitting were to increase my carry distances and ball descent angles. These have become crucial as I age and lose distance and ball-stopping ability. With that in mind we began the process, and I ended up with a new set that has delivered brilliantly on every expectation. In fact, with my new set I have now scored three of my lowest 18-hole scores ever (all under par), thanks to the Impact Golf fitting process and Derek’s expertise. The addition of two hybrids (5 & 6), which I had never carried before, has been transformational in meeting my goals and filling in essential distances and shot-making abilities from good lies as well as those [slightly?!] off the fairway that were previously very difficult for me at my age and club head speed. As with all my previous fittings, some adjustment was needed to make my new set fit me and my goals best. Derek and his staff have been phenomenal in patiently listening and facilitating these needed changes to my bag setup. Derek’s support staff (especially Jana) have all gone the extra mile to refine my clubs and have always been quick to respond and facilitate. This has been especially crucial as I live in Colorado now and the distance from Impact Golf in Utah could have made adjustments challenging – but they weren’t. The fact that I travelled from Colorado to Utah for this latest (and third) fitting indicates my enthusiasm for, and trust in Derek and Impact Golf’s process and staff. Every aspect of my Impact Golf full-bag fitting has exceeded my expectations each and every of the three times I have trusted Derek and his staff. Trust is a crucial aspect of the game of golf and the club fitting process. Derek and the Impact Golf staff build, maintain, and deserve that trust. There aren’t enough stars to award Impact Golf, Derek, and his support staff, but however many there are I give them all!

Impact golf is fantastic. Had my first fitting last year and the experience was top notch Devin was knowledgeable and took plenty of time to get me into the correct clubs. Just went in yesterday for a regrip and Luke their builder went out of the way to get my regrips done same day so I had them for a weekend trip. Great job guys keep it up!

Super helpful getting my golf game better here. The facility is nice and it seems it has a good reputation with the amount of people there. Shoutout to Devin who helped us get our clubs. Hope to get my golf game up after visiting here!

I had a great experience working with Brandon at Impact Golf during my club fitting. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to make sure everything was just right for my swing and playing style. I really appreciated his patience and expertise—he made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I'm really happy with how everything turned out.
