This was my second time staying at this hotel and I've been completely happy on both occasions. Highlights: 1. the rooms are huge and all of them include a small kitchenette. I stayed in two configurations, one with a separate bedroom when I travelled with my partner and on my recent trip solo, I had what would be a 'standard' hotel room, ie. a single room. Both were much larger than the average hotel room; 2. the breakfast is excellent, it's not just a selection of toast and jam or dried cereal - lots of choices both hot and cold. And the coffee is great too; 3. it's quiet - even though it's right off the 401, you'd never know; 4. the staff are super helpful. On this most recent visit I needed early check-in and the front desk person did everything she could to accommodate me. On my first visit I remember having a lovely conversation with one of the staff who worked the breakfast station; 5. amenities like a pool which I used on this recent visit with my grandson and we had a fantastic time. There's also a fitness room and for longer term guests, a laundry. There's a little mini golf set up on the patio too. This is a great hotel and I will definitely be staying there again.
Room is great. But walls could be paper. The accessible room with roll in shower is very well set up, but one single hook at accessible height in the large bathroom. An easy fix, I hope they do it. Wheelchair users like to be able to reach their towels too. And having some ♿️ height hooks thru the place would help too. The door to room is heavy, and has no assist. The bathroom door closes by itself constantly. The place is very clean. But you get 1 single bar of soap for your hands for your entire stay. Use tea/coffee in your room? No replacement. The breakfast and the dinner social is great. Water pressure is minimal with the accessible wand. They have an amazing quiet policy.
Was a good home base away from home, especially as a family with an infant/toddler. Stayed there 3 separate times when we had a family emergency and the rooms were spacious enough each time. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when we asked for a crib/bassinet. Had a fridge for our own food and it was close enough that if we needed something, the main road with all the shops is about 3 minutes away. Knocked off a star for the overall review because of the dynamic pricing. We were unlucky that 2 of the 3 stays we had fell on what seemed to be tournament weekends and the prices of the rooms were jacked up when the other time we had to stay, it was way way less. Otherwise, great spot to stay for families especially. Can't really control the loudness of the other occupants, especially if there's a tournament in town but that's not on the staff. Word of advice for parents with younger ones, if you want some separation between yourself and your toddler, make sure you book a room suite, not just a bachelor suite to allow them the room to sleep and you can still have a spot to relax without waking them.
