GOOLSBY’S

Been here a few times. Tried the food, the full tap wall, a few games. The tap wall is probably the best part as someone who likes to try a lot of different styles. On half price happy hour, it's actually a pretty solid deal, particularly since you're not adding the tip you normally would for a full-service bar. Good mix of stouts, sours, ipas, lagers, ciders, and seltzers, and most of the taps are usually working. Also some fountain sodas. I don't think much of the cocktail option, and I wish they'd rotate the taps more often (and take care of the fruit flies), but it's a good place to chill. The games are also pretty fun, good mix of different classics and some sports semi-VR games. Can get rowdy at times, but that's kinda the point! The food...not good tbh. Tried the wings once, even the full pound is a fairly skimpy portion, and the cooking and sauces weren't very good. The burger is overpriced and just ok. Fries are good, but it's a rare day I have objectively bad fries, and they don't measure up to Bootsies across the street. Overall, great place to go if you have a crowd looking to play games and want drinks to accomodate a lot of different tastes, or if you're a beer nerd like me and want to try a lot of styles. I'd recommend eating elsewhere though, it's right next to Aggieville, so I'm not sure how they compete besides being the place you're already in for other reasons.

My husband and I came in for a date night and we will absolutely be back! The staff was so wonderful to us even though they had every reason to be short and flustered considering how busy it was. The food was SO GOOD, decent portion sizes, and fairly priced. The tap wall is so cool! Something for everyone and constantly changing so you could try something different every time you go. We didn’t get to play any of the games this time but will definitely be back to enjoy the sports simulator. Definitely just found a go-to get-together spot!

Love the great selection of local beers. The ciders were also amazing! I loved talking to the friendly staff, Reid was an amazing guy! I personally love the burgers and find myself eating here a bit too much. The golfing and bowling is also a lot more fun with a local brew in my hand. Private side seems super interesting as well, might have to book it sometime. Awesome Atmosphere!
