I've been working with Matt since January 2025 in Ancaster. I've struggled with my swing for many years now. After our initial swing analysis Matt determined which areas we needed to focus on. I was looking to break things down and get back to basics, which he helped with. Initially it felt off, but after practice and persistence it has become my new natural swing. From setup to follow-through it feels great now and the results are fantastic. I have much more confidence now. I have gained much more distance with all my clubs, which I need to be aware of during rounds. Often the ball is going much further so club choice now is critical for me. Matt has been patient and adjust teaching methods according to how I learn and how I think. He is an excellent coach and I would highly recommend him. Overall, well worth the investment in time and dollars. 10/10 would do again. I plan to continue next season as I improve.
Matt and I started working together in December on a year long program. I did lessons from an instructor previous but Matt has helped simplify the game so much. Swing mechanics are way better and I’ve gained about 10 yards each club with minimal differences to swing and club head speed. Scoring 2-3 strokes less per round, missing in better spots on the course and keeping an overall better mental game at the same time. I have recommended him to a few pals who have started their own journey with Matt, and we all seem to have the same positive experience with him. Cannot thank him enough for the instruction he has to offer and I am excited to see how the year progresses
Visited Golf Town last week with a buddy. I stumbled across Golf Tech and Matt who took the time to have a conversation with me about his background and golf lesson program. I felt welcomed and he seemed genuinely curious in the golf issues I have been facing. I am currently a 17 handicap and struggle with a fade/slice that gets worse as the club length extends. I decided to do the swing evaluation with Matt as it was quite obvious he does this for passion, not money and his credentials speak for themself. Finished the swing evaluation this morning and I am glad I made it out. 5/5 would recommend. There are two parts that made this worth while for me: 1) the Technology: they have the facility and resources to dissect every aspect of your swing with data. The program shows not only your swing but has a live comparison to other professional golfers so you can see what the difference is from your swing to what the pros do. There is much more data that is helpful if you're a more advanced player. 2) Matt: Matt is an extremely personable person who brings a healthy dose of experience and honesty to his approach. He asks the right questions in the beginning of the session to understand what my goal was with the game of golf and then tailors his approach accordingly. As mentioned in other reviews, he starts with the basics (grip, setup, etc.) and then slowly progresses towards presenting solutions to the issues I was facing. By the end of the session, implementing Matt's adjustments, I was hitting the ball more comfortably and consistency. Things to Note: Listen to Matt, he is the pro and have an open mind. Do not set expectations that he will magically turn you into a scratch golfer overnight. In the beginning, the adjustments he made felt awkward which he noticed and showed me drills to help ease into the adjustments. After the drills, the swing felt like something I could actually replicate during a round. Not only does he explain what to do, but why, which was very helpful for me. Long story short, I am glad I took some of the budget I had for clubs and spent it with Matt. I think the saying "poor workman blames his tools" is quite true in the game of golf and technique along with proper fundamentals goes a long way. I am looking forward to hitting the range and applying the skills Matt has showed me and will come back to see him when the adjustments stick. If you are looking to develop consistency and distance in your golf game, start with Matt, not the new driver.
