What I appreciate most is how honest he is—he’ll point out where you need to improve, but he also gives you practical steps to work through it. He makes learning straightforward, effective, and easy to apply

I've been going to Evan for about 2 years now. Evan is a fantastic golf instructor. He teaches to the individual, is creative, and keeps it simple. He will not overload you with instructions, but will focus on a few simple drills to build/perfect your swing. He uses top-of-the-line technology so you can see your results in real-time. Whether you're a beginner, mid or low handicap Evan will improve your game. Great guy, too.

Evan is an awesome golf instructor and even better person. It was a challenge to find a consistent golf coach in New York City until I found Evan Cather and his team at The Hack Shack. Over the last two years my game has improved drastically due to Evan’s patient and attentive instruction. Evan has a keen sense that overwhelming a student with too many swing thoughts is counterproductive. Therefore we always focus on one part of the swing to improve upon and build up from there. I look forward to each lesson knowing Evan is willing and able to make me a better ball striker. It is also a pleasure to talk golf, sports and life during our session. The New York area is lucky to have someone like Evan who can take all levels of players from beginners to experts, and impress upon them his expertise and knowledge.
