Forest City National Golf Club

I was never a golfer or member at Forest City National, but as a spouse and parent, I spent time at the club and experienced its culture firsthand. From the beginning, I never felt truly welcome or comfortable. There was a clear lack of inclusion, particularly toward families. Our greatest concern — and the reason for this review — is that our family was rejected due to an issue involving our autistic son, who was never a member, and a family member of the club’s ownership. In any properly governed private club, with a board or member committee, this situation would have been handled fairly and thoughtfully. Forest City National has no board and no member committee. Decisions are made solely by one owner, without oversight or accountability. As a result, what should have been a reasonable, compassionate discussion became a bullying, unilateral decision that excluded our family. No child with a disability should ever be treated as a liability, and no family should be punished because of it. A private club should operate with transparency, empathy, and governance. Unfortunately, that is not how this club is run. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Forest City National — especially to families or anyone who values inclusion, fairness, and respectful leadership.

We could not have asked for a better venue or coordinator for our wedding. Stephanie was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. From the start, she made planning so smooth by providing us with clear outlines of timelines, answering every question we had, and guiding us every step of the way. On the wedding day, she and her staff went above and beyond. When our officiant arrived 45 minutes late and our schedule was thrown off, Stephanie handled everything flawlessly by communicating with all of our vendors, adjusting the timeline on the fly, and even opening cocktail hour early so our guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Her team was equally incredible, making sure the bar service was quick and seamless, and the food and food service were absolutely outstanding. Stephanie’s professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care along with the amazing staff made the entire experience stress-free and truly enjoyable. We were so happy from start to finish, and we cannot recommend this venue, Stephanie, and her team enough. It was everything we hoped for and more.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Forest City National in September. We could not have asked for a better venue to host our wedding! The scenery, staff, food, and atmosphere were amazing!!! Stephanie was absolutely lovely to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. From the start, she was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and warm. Both my husband and I felt so taken care of by Stephanie and the rest of the Forest City team. We highly suggest and recommend booking Forest City as your wedding venue. You won’t regret it!
