We had a party of five that had a golf bay reserved on a Saturday from 4-6. We arrived before 4:00, ordered beers, and waited by our bay. The person who we think was the manager and the bartender on duty were extremely friendly and helpful. The group in front of us weren’t quite done at 4:00, but we waited patiently until they finished. At approximately 4:05 the manager came over and told us the bay was ready. We had a great time for almost the entire time. Just before 6:00 two women approached us to tell us that it was 6:00 and they had the bay reserved at 6:00. We explained that we had started a little after 4:00 and had about five minutes left (the digital clock on the screen showed that we had six minutes left, but we had one player with one putt to finish), but even so, when one of the women complained the bartender walked right up as our last golfer was about to make his last shot turned the screen off. When we protested, she claimed that “this is what we discussed,” even though she wasn’t even working when we started. It left us with a very sour taste in our mouths after what had been a great experience to that point. What should have been a simple conversation was instead a confrontation that was unnecessary. Edited: So your response to our complaint is that it was our fault because we were courteous to the people playing before us? Good to know.
To be clear from the gate, we loved coming here, and have played several rounds since they have opened. However, recently, I booked a round for our group and had some issues, culminating with a very poor customer service experience with who I believe was the owner. During the online booking process, the system seemed to freeze up on the payment screen. After double checking that I hadn't already been charged, I went back in a booked our 2-hour round successfully. After a couple of days, I called to ask if we could add an hour, if possible, and the person I spoke with was very kind and said we could, and she would note that the first two hours were already paid for. At that time, however, she noted that she didn't see our original appointment. I told her I had the receipt email and she said to show it upon arrival, no big deal. On the day of, I got a call about 15 minutes before our time, asking if we were still planning to play. I said yes and that I was just around the corner. After arriving, we went to pay for the third hour, and the guy who was working checked us in but mentioned that he did not see payment for the first two hours. I showed him the confirmation email I had, as well as going so far as to show the bank statement that had a dated and time stamped payment confirmation. He said this was good for him and set us up to play our round. About 5 minutes before the end of our round, the owner came in to tell us that she needed us to pay for the 2-hours they claimed was still unpaid for. Her reasoning was that she said her system showed her that we had paid, but it was for a day one whole week before our time. When I proceeded to tell her that I never got an email for that date (which would have confirmed a mistake on my end), as well explaining that there seemed to be several hiccups with the online system and the employee I talked to (which she said probably made a mistake somehow), the owner continued to insist that I was the one who made a mistake and needed to pay more money. What bothered me (and the rest of my group) was that we showed her proof of payment, and proof that we never booked a second date, despite her saying we did and the system showed one. She continued to accuse us of being the problem. We assume the system created an error when it was having issues on our booking day (something even the employee we called admitted to), or the employee input an error somehow (which the owner even admitted probably happened). The biggest proof on our behalf seemed to be the fact I had two emails confirming the date we actually arrived to play, AND we had the confirmation call 15 minutes before, but never had any emails or calls for the other date we were accused of booking and no-showing for. Why would I get a call for one and not the other? In the end, despite showing all of the proof, and the owner even admitting there were plausible reasons to think the hiccups were on their end, AND the fact that they did still receive payment for all three hours (plus a handful of drinks from our group), we still were told we would have "notes made on your account" and that we were the ones who were "cheating our small business". The whole experience erased all of the good feelings over multiple years and rounds, and even a bachelor party, that we've had for Fore Putts Sake. The attitude and stance of the owner, and refusal to listen to the customer (and the proof we had) was so off-putting that we most likely won't be back unless there's absolutely no other option (of which there are plenty).
I always have a great experience at FPS. They have leagues with either scramble or best ball, plus a women’s league. Each bay has top-of-the-line equipment, and the tee box will move based on the lie. Great beers, cocktails, and the work with the local restaurants to get food delivered. Staff is knowledgeable and will get you set up right. I’ll definitely be back!
My friends and I started coming here after the courses closed for winter, Emily has single handedly made the experience as enjoyable as possible. When a business looks for someone who can push the mission further, she is who we look for. This place has an amazing atmosphere and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the game
I went here for a fun weekend and it was everything that we could possibly expect. Emily was our bartender and she was super attentive and always made sure our drinks were full. If you want to spend a good weekend for a good price, I recommend this place!
