Five Iron Golf

5iron Seattle provides a great golf community and it is a fantastic establishment. The standout thing about this 5iron location is that it offers golf lessons and ask for Charles (their golf pro). From my personal experience working with him I can attest that Charles has been transformative to how I feel about the game of golf. Working with Charles is great because he treats your golf journey like a partnership. He listens to your frustrations and aspriations then turn them into an actionable plan for your success. I am grateful to his coaching style as I have unlocked significant improvements in my swing mechanics and my overall confidence on the course has never been as strong. The game of golf has been a passion of mine now because of 5iron and Charles!

Being a new beginner female golfer in a male-dominated sport can be intimidating, but my experience learning golf has been incredibly positive. I started golfing at the end of summer 2025 and took lessons with Charles Lee. As someone who didn't grow up playing sports, he made golf approachable and genuinely fun. During lessons, he clearly points out what I'm doing incorrectly and explains it using video comparisons from TrackMan recordings, which helped me understand my swing much better. I used to overthink every swing, but now I'm more confident and focused. Between each lesson, he gives 1-2 specific things to work on, which really helps with steady improvement--as long as you put in the practice between lessons. When I first started in October 2025, my driver distance was about 129 yards total. As of January 2026, I'm hitting around 160 yards. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm a lifelong golfer now, and I truly have Charles to thank for opening my eyes to this sport! I’ve taken a few lessons with Charles Lee and have learned a lot already. My ball striking is improving quickly and I’m learning a lot about the mechanics of the golf swing. He genuinely cares about my progress and has a way of teaching that helps me understand quickly. I’d definitely recommend him as an instructor. The staff is always very helpful and always has the bays ready for my reservations.

I’ve taken a handful of lessons at 5 Iron Golf with Charles and had a fantastic experience. He was super helpful and did an excellent job breaking down swing tips in a way that was easy to understand and actually apply. He explained the “why” behind each adjustment, which made a big difference for me. I left each session feeling more confident and with clear things to work on.
